Who is going to the Second Annual Ladies’ Night Jean Exchange? It’s February 21st, Saturday night at 7PM. Event information can be found here. We had so much fun at this event last year – check out the coverage below!

Have you ever been to a jean exchange party? When I heard about Ladies’ Night Jean Exchange on facebook a few weeks ago, it sounded like a great idea. Get rid of old jeans and clean out my closet? Yup, I had a stack to donate! Come home with a new pair of jeans? Who doesn’t love free jeans? Hang out with some great moms and have some fun? All the better! Canyon Creek B&B, along with Marmie Bags hosted this event that welcomed all moms for a night of jeans, fashion, good food, good drinks, and fun.

At first glance after walking in the door, I saw mounds of jeans everywhere, sorted neatly by size, in every brand and type imaginable. There were also some great visuals about what jeans are good for what body types, and what not to wear. The idea is this: you find a pair of jeans, run upstairs to try them on, and if they fit, they’re yours! Nearly everyone was walking around with jeans slung over their shoulder. Two Skirts in Telluride donated a box of jeans to the event which were raffled off to others who donated jeans. A couple of lucky ladies got first pick at the Two Skirts jeans, and the rest went to whoever could fit in them. There were other great giveaways too!

Canyon Creek B&B  owner Kendra was mixing up some seriously tasty looking cocktails at the bar. Mojitos with blackberries and blueberries was one of them and oh, they looked good! Here was another popular drink that night: The Blue Jean Cocktail. Nice! I didn’t try one but I wish that I had!

Also on display were Krista Montalvo’s Marmie Bags, which were artfully arranged and pretty as ever. Marmie Bags is now selling laptop and tablet clutches, which I fell in love with.

It’s great to see so many in our community get involved - SheShe Boutique, Pollux, Dilly Dale’s Delights (who made some seriously spectacular Blue Jean Cupcakes), Dahlia Floral Design, Cabi, Massage by Corri Long, Ginger Magnolia, Marmie Bags, Canyon Creek B&B, Two Skirts and yours truly all donated items to make the evening a success.

Another really nice finale for this evening is that all the leftover jeans will be donated to the Women’s Resource Center. Thank you to Canyon Creek B&B and Marmie Bags for hosting this super fun evening! Love these creative moms!
