Kate Florian, owner of Dance Around Montrose, submitted the following guest post about their recent visit to an assisted living center. Thank you Kate!
On March 22, 2012 thirty-three students from Dance Around in Montrose, CO visited Volunteers of America Homestead at Montrose Assisted Living Center. Their sole purpose was to bring smiles to the residents by sharing their love for dance.
The Dance Around students, who range in age from 5 to 16 years old, were warmly welcomed and well received by the staff and residents of Homestead. They then performed eight dances in a variety of genres including Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz and Hip Hop which filled the audience with joy and happiness.
